It's nice to be appreciated!

A real positive for working at my company is the culture of recognition and showing appreciation for others. Employees are celebrated for 'going the extra mile' in being presented with an 'Impact Award'.

My favourite tool to use at the moment is Perkbox Recognition, it's a great platform to use for showing appreciation for others and giving the recognition that they deserve. We have recently been inspired to create 'Recognition Polls', celebrate 'Thankful Thursday' and just simply acknowledge and appreciate each other.

I like the thought that appreciation messages and notes of praise towards co-workers for their efforts can have a positive impact and fosters a healthy work environment.

Have you been praising your coworkers / employees for good work? If not, it’s time you seriously considered making active efforts to express words of appreciation.

I understand that showing appreciation doesn't come naturally to some people, and they simply don't express gratitude because they don’t know how to. I have often struggled for the inspiration to find the right words and I have looked at examples that could be used for showing gratitude towards others:

  1. Having you on the team makes a huge difference.

  2. I appreciate that you always find a way to get it done, thank you!

  3. Fantastic work, I couldn’t imagine working without you!

  4. Thanks for always being willing to lend a hand.

  5. You’re so great to work with.

  6. Thank you for being so flexible.

  7. Keep up the great work!

  8. I really enjoy working with you.

  9. Amazing job on that project - I really mean it.

  10. You are an invaluable member of the team.

  11. I can’t believe how lucky I am to have a great employee like you.

  12. Wow! Nice work.

  13. Thank you, and keep up with the good work.

  14. I just wanted to let you know how much you mean to the team.

  15. It’s incredible how often you go above and beyond.

  16. Thank you for your efforts, it really means a lot!

  17. You are a true asset to the company.

  18. Your contribution to this project has been immense.

  19. Thank you for being the heart and soul of our company.

  20. Thank you for motivating and guiding the team to accomplish our goals.

  21. You truly deserve all the success you have; you have earned it with your hard work.

  22. It is a privilege to have you on the team. Keep up the excellent work!

  29. I know things have been crazy lately, but you are doing a great job. Hang in there, it is almost over.

  30. It’s great working with you. You are one of the reasons for this success.

  31. Thank you for the fantastic job you do every day.

  32. I appreciate you jumping in and helping out.

  33. We know how busy you have been. Thanks for all your hard work.

  34. Whatever the task, you always find a way to get it done. Thanks for all your extra effort.

  36. You are very important to us. We really appreciate all you do.

79% of people will work harder when they know they are appreciated and recognised.

This notion of workplace gratitude is infectious and has far-reaching positive implications. Let's change the world we work in, go ahead and try it today - it all starts with a little thanks, and I will start.....

Thanking you for taking the time to read my blogs and for any positive comments you share with me, I really appreciate it.

Stay safe.
